The Baby Central Ethos
You are expecting your first baby. You walk into a pram shop for the first time. You don't know what you need. And what's more...you don't know what you don't need.
And of course, you don't know how much you're going to have to spend to get the things you are going to need over the next few years.
When our daughter, Daisy was born a few years ago we struggled to find a shop that could really help us to choose the right equipment for our baby. Few places were able to spend the time that new parents need to ensure they buy the right stuff. And like many parents, we also wanted to find some things that were a bit different from what everyone else was selling.
There is no substitute for good honest advice, at a place where staff can take time with parents (and grandparents) to talk them through the things they may need, and help them to purchase the essentials and the little luxuries for their new baby. So we opened our first store in Stirling in April 2007.
Baby Central is based on 3 simple principles:
Create a shop where everyone is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable
Stock only high quality baby equipment sourced from around Europe
Make sure everyone's shopping experience is a pleasurable one
Oh, and we'll never sell you something we don't think you'll need.

During the first weeks after baby is born do try to get as much rest as you can. It's easiest when baby is asleep. Leave the washing and the ironing for another day .....or for someone else!
